Why a Frog?

  • A frog is a creature of two worlds.  I believe in the seen and the unseen nature of reality and the human spirit.

  • A frog is a symbol of life's ongoing cycle of regeneration, rebirth and transformation.  I hope my prints invite viewers to connect to this mystery in some way. As a psychotherapist for 25+ years, the capacity of the human spirit to transcend suffering and resurrect to new levels of meaning, creativity, and service has been central to  my work.

  • Danu is the most ancient of the Celtic gods, the mother of all the Irish gods. She is the Celtic mother goddess associated with fertility, abundance, and wisdom. She is revered as the mother of the Tuatha Dé Danann, a race of supernatural beings in Irish mythology. I often create prints hoping to capture a sense of “seen and unseen” dimensions. I often think of my connection to my Irish ancestors, with gratitude for their fortitude!

  • In honor of my mother, who collected frogs!
